Graskop set to get a new tourist attraction

Construction work is underway for a panoramic glass lift in Graskop, Mpumalanga.

The lift will transport tourists 51 metres, down to the bottom of Graskop Gorge, where they can explore the indigenous forest via a network of pathways, elevated walkways and information boards. At a later stage, guided tours and hikes will also be offered.

Plans are also in place to construct a 40-bed boutique hotel in the second phase of the development, along with a restaurant and craft market.
