Proflight launches Livingstone-Lower Zambezi route

Proflight Zambia has launched a new daily direct flight from Livingstone to Lower Zambezi for the 2018 safari season.
The new route will enable time-pressed tourists to more easily factor in a trip to the wildlife and fishing haven of the Lower Zambezi with their must-see visit to Livingstone and the Victoria Falls, and help to further open up the Lower Zambezi for the tourism industry there.
The flights operate between 15 June 2018 and 15 October 2018, with departure from Livingstone at 09h55 every morning, arriving at Royal airstrip at 11h30 and Jeki at 12h00. Flights from Lower Zambezi depart at 07h20 and 07h50 respectively, arriving in Livingstone at 09h25.

“Proflight is working continuously to make air travel very convenient for both local and international travellers. We are happy to launch the new Livingstone-Lower-Zambezi service route as it is aimed at making life easier for domestic and international tourists,” said Proflight’s Director of Government and Industry Affairs Capt. Philip Lemba. He added: “Proflight recognises the importance of tourism travel around the country, hence introducing new routes and direct flights will boost domestic tourism and travel, which will in turn increase the country’s GDP. As you know tourists and investors don’t want to spend too much time in transit. They want to invest their time on what brought them here in the first place which is tourism or business activities,” he added.
