Vic Falls property joins Africa in Focus

Matetsi Victoria Falls has joined Africa in Focus’s regional product portfolio.

Owned by John Gardiner, Matetsi is set on a private 15km stretch of the Zambezi River, within a 55 000-hectare private game reserve, just 40km upriver from Victoria Falls.

Matetsi River Lodge comprises two river-facing camps, each with eight suites and one two-bedroom family suite. River Lodge guests are looked after by a personal butler and have the option of booking a private safari vehicle.

Matetsi River House is an exclusive-use villa with four air-conditioned, en-suite bedrooms. Guests are looked after by a dedicated team, including a private chef, butler, guide and tracker.

Matetsi River Lodge and River House guests can make use of open-space bars, bomas, and social dining facilities. Zimbabwean Executive Chef, Shane Ellis, provides a fresh and evolving menu of international and local foods.

Guest amenities and areas include al-fresco lounge areas, a 20m lap pool flanking the river, fitness studio, massage sala, library and boardroom, boutique, iPads for guest use, in-room Bluetooth speaker, complimentary laundry service and free in-room and lodge WiFi.

Activities on offer range from game drives to Zambezi river boat cruises, canoeing, birdwatching, walking safaris, fishing and special activities for children. The property also offers bespoke excursions to Victoria Falls and the ‘Flight of the Angels’ scenic helicopter flight.

Complimentary scheduled tour of the falls and high tea are offered to guests staying two nights or more at Matetsi Victoria Falls. Activities can be pre-booked through the Matetsi Victoria Falls reservations office.
