Nairobi Serena Hotel has completed the first phase of its ongoing refurbishment programme.
So far, the upgrade of the north wing has included the refurbishment of 95 rooms, comprising four executive suites, seven deluxe twin rooms and 84 deluxe queen rooms. Double-glazed windows have been installed, along with high-speed lifts, energy efficient mood lighting and modern air-conditioning systems. In addition, enhanced fire, security and safety features have been added.
A new executive lounge has been added to the seventh floor, with two private meetings rooms. The entire floors offers views of the Nairobi city skyline. A new 450sqm acoustic ballroom with capacity for 450 guests (theatre-style) has been added, along with four meeting rooms fitted with the latest AV equipment.
Other improvements include a new front-of-house area and upgraded lobby, additional parking, new gym equipment and a new fusion restaurant will open in November.

The second phase (south wing) of the hotel’s refurbishment commenced in September 2018 and is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2019 when the full room inventory of 199 rooms will be in operation.
